Web Design Lesson: Navigating through different web pages searching for answers.
1. The student shall visit the following
sites and answer the following questions on a seperate sheet
of paper. Just provide the answer to the questions.
1. At Dogpile what is the joke of the day for today? 2. At View from a satellite view the satelite ACTS - What view of the earth do you see? Name the continents you see. 3. At Space Station web page what is the headline for news on the space station and what infomation can you tell me about the article? 4.At Space Station location what is the longitude, latitude, and altiutude of the space station at the time you viewed the webpage. 5 AT Volcano list the current volcano erupting. (Current Volcano at the top of the list, if there is more than one..Tell where it is erupting and provide it's longitude and latitude? 6. At InfoPlease what is listed as the current worlds tallest building? How tall is the building in feet?What year was the building construction completed? Also which build has the most strories on the list? 7 At Shark Facts list four facts about sharks discussed on the website. 8.Using Google.com who was the 16th president of the USA? What year and how did he die? 9.Wait a minute, you mean I am seeing this live. Another Web Cam site, this time view Washington DC live. What building is the camera showing? 10. What is the largest turtle? How long in feet and how much in pounds do they weigh according to this site? 11. Check out the Satelite tracking of a turtle named Yumi. Click on the red Interactive Animation. This will show a two months view of the migratory pattern of this turtle. Please provide a comment about what you just saw. 12. The last site is actually a web hunt in itself. Please visit the Yellowstone National Park site and take its webhunt desinged for older kids. Good luck. It will ask you to find and answer five questions. 13.Check out these webcams. Click on one and you can get a real time view of the country that the webcam is located. Earthcam
