Myspace.com
By: Nathan Estes
Currently the most popular website of students at
Hillside High School is MySpace.com. Originally founded as a
wholly owned subsidiary of InterMix Media, Inc. (previously
known as eUniverse, Inc.), a site for businesses,
MySpace.com was spun into a separate entity in 2003 for use
by the general public. The person mostly responsible for the
advertisement of the site is Tom Anderson. Within months of
it's use for the public, the site's popularity exploded. The
best description for Myspace is a place to interact with
other people, sharing files, pictures and thoughts. As of
Dec. 05 there are 45 million accounts.
The sites popularity is based on the exciting features
such as customizing your page and easy access to your
account. Also the ability to see who else is online not only
on Myspace but on AOL, Yahoo and MSN is really cool. The
site is one of the best ways to keep current on what is
happening around the world.

Masters Card Contest Winners...... Hillside High
school's art class taught by Mrs. Masters, has an ongoing
tradition of creating Christmas cards. They are given to the
District Office, each grade school and high school. This
year, with so many talented students, no wonder they
couldn't pick one first place winner. Christina Hebert,
Jorge Rodriguez, and Andrew Juarez were the deserving three
to place first, while Jennifer Javan, Benny Maltos,
Stephanie Stegemann, and Juan Mora placed second, third,
fourth and fifth. Way to go guys, and Happy New Year.

backyard.
